The goals of the program are to achieve a more limber body, increased physical coordination, better
posture, and improved flexibility without incurring the potentially negative effects associated with high-impact forms of
exercise. Emphasis is on breathing with movement and improving the motor planning, motor control, accuracy and timeliness
with movement.
All Children will be paired with a SNAP mentor, but parents are welcome to join in as well.

SNAP TaeKwon-Do - MORRISTOWN

The
purpose of the class is to provide a rich experience for our kids in this martial arts program. While the program is martial
arts, the broader goal of TKD is in developing listening skills, memory and the development of balance which is an issue with
many of our kids. The over the horizon goal is to integrate our kids into a typically developing class when appropriate
so that they have the social experience of being with these children too. The class will be conducted by Two Black belt instructors
and lead by Robin Robinson, a 7th degrees Black belt, who is one of the top female Black Belts in the country.

$50/for 2 months- including a TKD uniform for each new student.

with special needs the opportunity to learn and practice life skills in the community. Activities take place at local

Teen Tracks Travel Camp - WEST ORANGE

This daily travel program during the month of August provide Teens who have special needs the opportunity to spend
the day in the community on daily trips, while providing them with opportunities to learn daily living skills. Activities
include trips to the beach, museums, sporting events, entertainment complexes, yoga class and more. Program hours are
8:30am - 4:30pm daily. Teens can attend, 1,2, 3 or 4 weeks. Maximum enrollment is twelve teens per day and
an intake interview is required for admission.

JVS Career Camps 2013
Session
1: for students with physical, cognitive, and developmental disabilities - July 29 - August 9

2: for students diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) - August 12 - 23
The
objective of Career Camp is to help prepare students for work, training or education after high school. Career Camp
2012 will provide students the opportunity to engage in vocational activities designed to simulate job tasks and give hands-on
experience developing a variety of different work skills. Camp activities will focus on vocational exploration, appropriate
work behaviors, and social skills development. Classroom instruction will be interactive and include resume writing,
completion of job applications, and practicing interview skills. Campers will also take field trips to community employment
sites to learn about a variety of jobs available in areas such as health care, culinary arts, animal care, and horticulture.
